Elsewhere, they are considered similar to hotels, but their much cheaper cousins. In some other places, guesthouses are private homes, converted into guest accommodation. The owners generally live within the property, but in a separate area.

Some resorts are so large that they tend to cover many acres of land.
Timeshare
A timeshare is a property, usage rights that are owned by different people at different times of the year. These shelters are typically resort condominium units that are granted on a ‘right to use’, ‘lease’, or ‘partial ownership basis’, where people can use the property during the time of year allotted to them. At this point, they are also responsible for the maintenance and security of the property.

Dude’s Farm
This is a very unique, often seasonal, accommodation found primarily in the United States. They display a “nostalgic feeling for the American West’s past”. Often located within large resort areas, these dude ranches feature cowboy-style activities, such as horseback riding and cattle gathering. Some of them also cater specifically to hunters, and are known as hunting farms. It is located in the vicinity of the forest and allows hunters to hunt for native game.
Vacation Rental
Another cost-effective type of vacation accommodation, vacation rentals involve renting out an entire house or apartment to tourists. Generally, people traveling with families and/or large groups choose such accommodations because they can use the whole house for themselves. Such shelters are either purchased specifically by their owners to be given out as vacation rentals, or converted into the same premises for the period during which the owners are away.
Keeping the house
This is a type of free vacation accommodation that involves a written agreement between the homeowner and the caretaker of the house. These agreements generally state that while the owner is away, the house sitter (visitors occupying the house) can use the house free of charge, but he or she must take on minor responsibilities, such as cleaning, gardening, caring for pets, and so on.
Exotic Hotels
